i’m learning korean atm, and it’s a really cool language.

i watched a breakdown of the lyrics from daechwita. i did a bit of research. interesting.

so i got the d-2 album. it is very good.

two tracks have really surprised me.

and honsool. my son, who at five, has an excellent ear for music, has always liked what i have played him of your music. to request me to put on daechwita, he has asked, can we have good suga / bad suga? or simply done the headbanging bit. i’ve understood him immediately both times.

people don’t really talk about how difficult it can be to talk to children. even one’s own.

my son asked for honsool tonight as his bedtime music track. he doesn’t like the swear words in it, if that’s what you’re wondering. he likes the ahhh ah ah ahaaaaa ahaaaaaaa. he sings it to himself. sings it to me.

i’m 44, dude. had an awesome life so far. met the beastie boys at 16, seen almost every good band live, heard so many great tracks.

but i don’t want to put my heart into a mix for you only for it never to reach you. that would suck. when i made mixes for pavement and andrew wk, I had the amazing good fortune to put those cds in their hands. like, physically.

you may as well be locked in a fortress like rapunzel, for all anyone can get to you.
